We provide a variety of services as part of our NHS contract. Nevertheless, we pride ourselves in going that extra mile for our patients and customers. If there is a service you think: ‘Why are you not doing that?” Just let us know and if we can, we will accommodate it. We will be delighted to hear from you. Please use our contact form by clicking here.
The following are the list of some of the key services we provide
Dispensing of Medicines
You can have your NHS and private prescriptions dispensed at any of our three branches. We do this quickly and accurately and if there is an item unavailable, we will try all our different suppliers to make sure you can have your medications as soon as possible. Our team of qualified pharmacists and technical staff are here to help with any queries you might have about your medications.
Disposal of Unwanted medicines
If you have medications you no longer want – maybe because it has been stopped by your GP or has expired or they belong to a relative who has since passed on – bring all these back to us for safe disposal. We will hate to see these medicines lying around for someone to take them accidentally. It is better for these medicines to be disposed of safely, away from normal household waste. If there are sharp needles involved then these need to be disposed of specially. For information on how to dispose of sharps, read our medicines tips here.
If you are taking medications regularly, then we do offer a service whereby you can just contact us (by phone or by coming into one of our branches) about a week before you run out and we can take the request to the surgery on your behalf and collect it for you after about 48 hours. All you have to do is sit back and after 48 to 72 hours, come in and pick your medicines up. We can even deliver if you want us to. To make it even easier, you can now request your repeat prescription online here.
We like to see you at least once a year to discuss how you are getting on with your medication especially if you are on some medicine for the first time or need help with managing your medicines especially in long term conditions such as diabetes, asthma, high blood pressure. We can provide you with extra help and advice as part of our free NHS Service and does not replace your normal review with your GP.
Direct you to the right place for advice and information
We want you to see us as a professional hub in the community. If you have some healthcare concerns or problems and you are unsure of where to get help from, then speak to us. We should be able to direct you to the appropriate person or organisation. You could say: We help you choose well.
Support for people with disabilities
Once we have completed a medicines risk assessment with you or your career, we can offer a range of support for people with disabilities to ensure that medication are being taken as prescribed. Everyone is different and this service is tailored to individual needs.
Support for Self care
As your medicines expert in the community, we can provide help and advice about treating minor illnesses and management of long-term conditions.
Wide Range of Medicinal and Cosmetic Products
Just come in to any of our branches to see the wide range of medicinal and cosmetic products we have to offer. We are confident that you will be delighted with our range of products. And depending on the time of year, we stock some special lines which usually delight our customers. So just come in, we look forward to seeing you.
